I have signed up for the Stitch from Stash for 2015. I can't believe how close we are to the New Year. I'm thinking of creating a 15 project challenge for the New Year. I have so many WIP that I need to finish quite a few. More to come on both subjects soon!

Stitching From Stash
Once again I'm a little late to be posting my stitch from stash. I have been terrible this month and spent $30. I'm still good because there are a few months that I spent $0. I'm not sure which and I will look into it further. I started 2 new projects this month. Neither one is finished and once I get home I will post pictures. Both of the projects are from Harvest Haunts and are Halloween themes. The first one was the Halloween Hayride and the 2nd one is Boowitching Mansion. I hope to have both complete before Halloween so I can work on a Thanksgiving themed one for Thanksgiving.
Pictures will follow soon!

Hello,
Here is my update for this month. I spent $5. on replacement floss. I have been very good so far this year. I had a real difficult time this past month when there was a sale on HAED's website. I was really tempted by several charts.
I am still working on my Crazy Owl Family. Here is an updated photo:
Sorry about the wrinkles and hoop marks, I haven't worked very much on it this month. I'm still trying to complete the blue which will account for 25% of the project when it is done.
Thanks for stopping by.

SFS2014 UPDATE

It's that time of the month again. I know that I only post on this day of the month. My total spent this month is $0. for the second month in a row. I'm trying real hard to be good, but every month it is a struggle to not spend. I think that it helps that I've been working really hard on my Totally Crazy Owl Family from HAED. Today I even have progress pictures.
Sorry I don't take the best photos especially from my phone. I have been working on all the blue down the side and now starting to go across the bottom. This picture calls for 10 skeins of 519 and I thought I'd see how long it will take me to finish all the blue.
That's it for now. Thanks for reading!

Mimi's Big Day
Today my baby daughter graduated from High School!! I'm so proud of her. She went in her senior year with 12 of the needed 27 credits. She has struggled to graduate and her struggles paid off. Not only did she graduate, but she has also gone to the DATC which is a technical school to get her CMA license. During this time she has held on to a job and at times two jobs. She maintained a 4.0. Yes her dad and I couldn't be more proud of our little girl!!
I also need to post my stitch from stash. This month I didn't spend any money. I have been working real hard on my Crazy Owl Family from HAED. I have a goal to get 2 pages done by the end of June wish me luck.
Thanks for stopping by

STITCHING FROM STASH - MARCH
I know this is a little late but I wanted to share my stitching from stash! I was bad this month as I joined the Passione Ricamo Anniversary mystery sampler cost $20. I had a few other purchases but they don't count as it was all birthday money. (gotta love Birthdays, unless you are in your 50's) I did have a new start and will show it tomorrow!

Clean out your bag!
Hello,
Today I decided my tote bag needed to be cleaned out. This bag I carry with me everywhere and has sadly accumulated a lot of junk! I just thought I would share with you some of the things I carry in my tote bag.
This is in just a random order:
1. Cell Phone (which should go in my small purse)
2. Camera (which I don't use because I lost the memory card)
3. 4 pairs of scissors (yes, 4 because hey you never know when you might lose one)
4. 3 AAA batteries (you know for just in case.)
5. 3 small notebooks (hey a girl has to take notes, although 2 have nothing written in them and 1 has only 1 page written on)
6. 2 calendar/planner
7. 3 different types of light sources. a flashlight, an ott light (just small but bright) and a magnifying light for when I can't see.
8. 30 skeins of floss which I need to put on bobbins but left the bobbins at home. Look at all the lovely blues
9. 6 tins of different sizes. (2 are empty, 1 has sharpies, 1 has orts, 1 has a paper clip and 1 has hardware for a sewing project)
10. 1 magazine
11. 6 rolls of washi tape and 1 roll of duct tape
12. 3 plastic containers (1 has small tiles that I was going to make pin keeps with, 1 has a few sharpies, and 1 holds my scissors)
13. a small nemo that my daughter brought home from Disneyland.
14. my make-up bag.
15. 2 bottles of pills.
16 2 brushes
17. 2 samples of pills from a recent trip to the doctor.
18. my iPod
19. 2 bottles of Crystal light liquid
20. 1 package of gum
21. 1 small container of Screen Wipes and 1 small package of wet wipes.
22. a small clipboard (to hold the pattern for cross-stitch.
23. a pair of reading glasses
24. 1 Tide stick
25. 1 crochet hook (my other love)
26. 1 lip balm
27. 19 pens of various colors
28. an artist portfolio I made to hold all my pens
29. a pad of scrapbook paper
30. 27 sharpies
31. 2 dollar bills/ 2 gold dollars
32. a partial bag of carrot cake m&m's
33. and last but not least my cross-stitch project.
I will post pictures when I get home, but can anyone beat all of that?
I have tried to clean this out before but it never lasts, I'm a self-proclaimed hoarder. Some of these things should never have been put in my bag especially the crystal light as one is a dark purple that would never come out if I accidentally spilled it on my cross-stitch.
Things that I should have included: my cross-stitch pattern (I think I left it home oops!) some hand lotion because my hands are so dry.
Who is ready to show their tote bag.

SFS2014 Feb. Posting
Hello,
I know this post is late and therefore will count as my month where I didn't report. This is very sad because I did so well in the month of February. In fact the only purchase I made was during the freebie weekend so I didn't really purchase anything. My total would have been $0 spent. I was going to make March my non-reporting month because it is my Birthday month. I really haven't gotten much done on my Proud Iris and hope to post pictures soon.

SFS2014 January Update

Just wanted to do an update on the amount of money I spent for the challenge. I spent a grand total of $12. I'm so glad that I joined this challenge because that I'm sure I would have bought more HAED patterns during the sale if I had not. I've got my eye on quite a few, but I will persevere and not buy anything.
Most of my stitching time has been spent on this project from HAED. It is The Proud Iris. The artist is Meredith Broome. i currently have three of her Iris patterns, they are the Mini Iris of Gold, Mini White Iris and the Proud Iris. I love them all. Here is the one I'm currently working on.
Here is where I'm at after working on it for two months:
I'm usually all over the place when I'm stitching so I'm not quite sure where my progress will be in a few weeks.

New Blog!!
I have a new blog! I have had blogs in the past that have never amounted to much, mostly because I don't really think that any one cares about what I have to say. This time I will be showing my cross stitch starts (because I'm a serial starter, not so much a finisher). I love the process of starting a new project, getting the thread, finding that perfect material. Getting all my supplies just so. Then the putting the needle to that beautiful piece of fabric and watching my creation come to life. But that's where I fall apart. After a few weeks, days, or months I will start to look at the piece and see the flaws. Or maybe lose my place on the piece or see another project that has to be completed by me, or for other stupid reasons I seldom complete anything. I'm hoping that as I blog I will have others encouraging me to continue. Maybe if I use this blog to set some goals maybe I will be able to actually finish one.
I thought I'd tell you the reason for the name of this blog as well. One day I was sitting and holding my little sweet granddaughter who is now 18 months old. She is so sweet and one of my favorite things to do is cuddle with that sweet angel! So on this day I had gotten her to sleep and while I love to hold her I can't just sit and hold her without something else to concentrate on. So I picked up my cross-stitch. It came to me in that moment I needed to name my blog cuddlin and cross-stitchin because that is what I love to do most.
